**Overview of the Pharmacy Manager Role**

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our long-term care pharmacy team in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

As a Pharmacy Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to maintain smooth operations, lead a high-performing team, and uphold adherence to all legal and organizational standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage all pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and evaluate pharmacy staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
  • Prescription Verification and Quality Assurance: Oversee prescription verification, compounding, IV admixture, and quality assurance processes.
  • Drug Information Expertise: Act as the pharmacy's drug information expert, addressing inquiries and ensuring accurate medication preparation.
  • Formulary Interchanges and Clinical Recommendations: Monitor and implement formulary interchanges and clinical recommendations.
  • Staffing and Communication: Coordinate staffing schedules and maintain effective communication with all departments and facilities.
  • After-Hours Support: Ensure timely medication deliveries and provide after-hours on-call support as part of the rotation.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Active Michigan Pharmacist License.
    • MICSC (Michigan Immunization Certification).
  • Experience:
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and train staff effectively.
    • Practical knowledge of pharmacy software, systems, and long-term care operations.
    • Familiarity with clinical calculations, IV dosing, warfarin management, and medication regimen reviews.
