We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our environmental programs and initiatives as the Director, Global Environmental Programs. This is a critical role that will drive environmental excellence across our organization and ensure we meet our sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive environmental strategy that aligns with our company's overall business objectives.
- Lead the development and execution of environmental policies, procedures, and programs that support our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop opportunities for environmental improvement and sustainability.
- Provide subject matter expertise on environmental regulations, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
- Develop and manage assessment processes to drive sustainable improvement across the organization.
- Lead engagement with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure robust systems are in place to meet regulatory and stakeholder expectations.
- Monitor and understand emerging trends in environmental programs and requirements, and develop strategies to ensure adequate preparedness and response.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 15+ years of related experience, including leading environmental programs in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of environmental regulations and requirements.
- Experience with complex air and water permit requirements and procedures.
- Extensive experience in environmental permitting, sampling, waste management, and vendor assessment.
- Experience with environmental aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
