Join Our Team as a Practical Nursing Specialist

About the Role:

Liberty HomeCare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Practical Nursing Specialist to provide exceptional care to our residents. This full-time position focuses on evening shifts and involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the highest standards of nursing care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing nursing services for assigned units, adhering to the Nursing Practice Act, and working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

  • Delegate tasks to both professional and non-professional nursing staff while monitoring their performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

  • Conduct thorough observations of patients to identify any symptoms or reactions, including monitoring their overall physical and mental well-being for potential adverse changes.

  • Support in alerting the attending physician regarding emergencies and patient fatalities within the unit. Implement changes in care as directed by physicians.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to maintain a high standard of care.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse, having graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current and valid license from the Board of Nursing, with proof of license renewal submitted biennially.
  • Willingness to assume charge nurse responsibilities and provide coverage during emergencies as needed.
  • Ability to deliver quality nursing care, adhere to physician orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • CPR certification required annually.
  • Participation in in-service training and staff meetings as necessary.
