About the Role

The Human Resources Specialist is a key member of our team at Sentec, responsible for handling a range of HR activities that drive business success. This includes recruiting, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, training, timecards, leaves of absence, and enforcing company policies and practices.

This role is critical in optimizing productivity, profitability, and employee satisfaction. As an HR Specialist, you will work closely with leadership to understand and execute the organization's human resources and talent acquisition strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Partner with the HR/talent acquisition team to recruit, interview, and hire top talent. Collaborate with managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Onboarding and Training: Conduct onboarding and orientation of new employees to ensure efficient and effective training and compliance.
  • Employee Relations: Assist with allegations of wrongdoing, harassment, disciplinary meetings, and terminations.
  • Time Management: Review and approve timecards in a timely manner.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate company gatherings, off-site events, and guest services for visitors.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or related field required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of professional human resource administration required; manufacturing/medical device experience is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
