Job Summary

HealthEcareers - Client is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel nursing assignment. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including administering medications, performing vaginal deliveries, and providing postpartum care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and respond to changes in fetal status.
  • Perform routine medical procedures, such as blood draws and injections.
  • Document patient information and treatment plans in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in labor and delivery care.
Requirements
  • Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of Arizona or a participating compact state.
  • 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
  • Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) Intermediate or Advanced certification.
  • STABLE (S.T.A.B.L.E. Program) certification.
Work Environment

This Labor and Delivery RN travel assignment will take place in a short-term acute care hospital with a Level IV trauma center. The hospital features 4 labor rooms, 2 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, 10 postpartum rooms, and 2 stabilization nursery beds.
