The Staff Level I Speech Language Pathologist plays a vital role in the evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of patients referred for their services. As an integral healthcare provider, this position is accountable for assisting patients to their highest level of function. The Staff Level I Therapist upholds the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson Health, working in conjunction with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, treatment interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled facility, acute rehab, and outpatient settings as appropriate.
- Participate in student education, including part-time ICE, OT Level 1, or full-time students.
- Participate in education and teaching commensurate with novice clinicians.
- Plan, organize, and deliver treatment programs that help clients/patients recover and rehabilitate.
- Utilize tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and trainings for patients and families.
- Record and document clients/patients' health progress information for evaluation, including daily treatments, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
- SLP: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- 0-2 years of clinical practice required.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- State License required.
- CPR certification required.
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated, you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
