Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Lynchburg, Virginia. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for administering radioactive substances to patients for diagnostic imaging purposes.

Responsibilities

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Radiopharmaceutical Administration:
    • Preparing and administering radioactive substances (radiopharmaceuticals) to patients
    • Ensuring correct dosage and safe handling
  • Imaging and Diagnostic Procedures:
    • Operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners
    • Performing diagnostic imaging tests to capture detailed images of organs, tissues, and bones
  • Patient Interaction and Preparation:
    • Explaining imaging procedures to patients
    • Verifying patient identity and medical history
  • Image Analysis and Documentation:
    • Reviewing images to ensure diagnostic quality
    • Maintaining accurate patient records
Requirements

To be successful as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Experience working with nuclear medicine imaging equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
