Job Summary:
  • This role involves working under the guidance of the Business Operations and Helpdesk Manager.
  • The IT Support Assistant is tasked with overseeing computer application processes and providing essential support for the IT Helpdesk.
  • Responsibilities include addressing customer inquiries, logging issues, and escalating problems to ensure the reliability of the organization's information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and execute application processes effectively.
  • Handle all Helpdesk calls, ensuring thorough documentation of each issue in the Incident Management system.
  • Spend a significant portion of the workday on the phone, assisting customers and managing service requests.
  • Maintain accurate customer contact information within the Incident Management application.
  • Provide responses to common inquiries and guide customers through troubleshooting steps.
  • Escalate technical issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Perform data entry and clerical tasks as directed by management.
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to team objectives.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in Information Technology is preferred.
  • One year of experience in Computer Operations, ideally within a healthcare setting, or relevant academic experience.
Skills:
  • Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, demonstrating professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and external partners.
  • Commitment to service excellence and a collaborative work environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, holidays, and weekends.
