- The IT Support Assistant is tasked with overseeing computer application processes and providing essential support for the IT Helpdesk.
- Responsibilities include addressing customer inquiries, logging issues, and escalating problems to ensure the reliability of the organization's information systems.
- Monitor and execute application processes effectively.
- Handle all Helpdesk calls, ensuring thorough documentation of each issue in the Incident Management system.
- Spend a significant portion of the workday on the phone, assisting customers and managing service requests.
- Maintain accurate customer contact information within the Incident Management application.
- Provide responses to common inquiries and guide customers through troubleshooting steps.
- Escalate technical issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Perform data entry and clerical tasks as directed by management.
- Attend departmental meetings and contribute to team objectives.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in Information Technology is preferred.
- One year of experience in Computer Operations, ideally within a healthcare setting, or relevant academic experience.
- Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, demonstrating professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and external partners.
- Commitment to service excellence and a collaborative work environment.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Must be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
