Job Summary

We are seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. As a Per Diem RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with deliveries and provide postpartum care to new mothers and their babies.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on various topics, including breastfeeding, pain management, and postpartum care.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Washington.
  • 1 year of recent experience in Labor and Delivery or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and flexible scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Epic charting system.
  • Knowledge of postpartum care and lactation support.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
