Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial / Construction Electrician to join our team at EWF. This is a 50-hour plus a week, 3-month plus job in Columbus, MS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, and control systems.
  • Run conduit, pull wire, and connect electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Collaborate with construction and project management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as an industrial construction electrician.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical technology preferred.
  • Valid Mississippi electrical license (or ability to obtain).
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70, NEC, and OSHA regulations.
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and motor control systems.
  • Physical stamina for heavy industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in steel manufacturing or similar heavy industry.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar control systems.
  • Certifications in electrical safety (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • NCCER certification.
