About the Role

A Bright Future, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Behavioral Health Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Complete housekeeping tasks, such as vacuuming, washing dishes, and tidying
  • Help plan client appointments and organize schedules
  • Organize transportation arrangements to appointments
  • Shop for groceries and prepare meals that meet specific client dietary needs
  • Encourage client engagement in social networks and communities
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have BHT certification and proof of certification at interview
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record
  • CPR and First Aid training, or willingness to be trained within 30 days of employment
  • TB clearance within 30 days of employment
  • Department of Justice fingerprint clearance (prior to employment)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening (prior to employment)
  • IHSS provider certification in the county(s) of placement within 30 days of employment
