About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sharp Electronics Corporation. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and validating new products while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mechanical design concepts and specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product development meets performance requirements and is delivered on schedule and within budget
  • Design and develop product components and assemblies using CAD software and other digital engineering tools
  • Conduct FMEA and other risk assessments to ensure product reliability and quality
  • Work with suppliers to source and procure materials and components
  • Participate in stage gate process and contribute to SMCA ISO Design/Development Procedures
  • Support and contribute to R&D activities and compliance testing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Five (5) years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Preferred experience with Creo and/or SolidWorks 3D CAD software, PDM, DFMEA, design for plastic injection molding, design for metal stamping, and design for manufacturing
