Responsibilities:
  • Collect patient histories and perform physical exams
  • IVC placement and venipuncture
  • Surgery Prep, monitoring anesthesia and postoperative care of the patient (recovery)
  • Dentals and dental radiographs
  • Maintain patient records
  • Client education and communication
  • Perform and assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and other prescribed treatments
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, fellow veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
