Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Develop and implement tailored IEPs to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to provide integrated support and ensure seamless communication.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document student progress against set goals, making adjustments as needed.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advance your skills.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Licensure: Valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
