Diagnostic Imaging Technician

Job Summary

UT Health Quitman is seeking a skilled Ultrasound/Echo Tech to join our team in a day shift, full-time position. As a member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing Echo studies/procedures for patients utilizing ionizing radiation and treatment of disease.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Echo studies/procedures for patients utilizing ionizing radiation and treatment of disease.
  • Function under the general supervision of the site supervisor and in cooperation with the cardiovascular team.
  • This position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of patient care experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience performing Echocardiography studies.
  • Echo Registry eligible per ICAEL standards.
  • CPR Certified Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Registry in Adult Cardiac Ultrasound ARDMS or CCI or Registry-Eligible Registered Echocardiography Technologist.
  • Allied Health degree in Cardiac Ultrasound experience performing Echocardiagraphy studies preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Registry in Pediatric Cardiac Ultrasound preferred.
