About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to provide quality images for radiologists and physicians.
  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report any potential problems or malfunctions.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Nuclear Medical Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiography.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree required.
