Sycuan Casino Resort is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Background Investigator to join our team. As a Background Investigator, you will be responsible for processing background checks for team members and vendors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities- Process pre-background checks for team members and vendors, including reviewing personal history statements, conducting interviews, and verifying criminal and financial records.
- Issue vendor badges and team member gaming licenses, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
- Provide suitability determinations to the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC), researching criminal law violations and classifying the seriousness of the crime.
- Ensure vendor licensing compliance, tracking expiration dates and mailing renewal packets to vendors.
- Assemble and submit documents needed to comply with State licensing programs, including team member State applications and tax release forms.
- Update Electronic Storage System by preparing, scanning, and indexing files, gaming commission investigations, and correspondence.
- Provide administrative support to the Background Department, recording meetings, typing and distributing meeting minutes, and reconciling licensing bills.
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or High School equivalent.
- 2 years of office administration experience.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse team member and vendor population.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in touch 10 key.
- Multi-lingual.
