Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Montefiore Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association (CCC-SLP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat adult and pediatric patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
  • Conduct Modified Barium Swallow studies in coordination with Radiology and perform, interpret, and apply results from Fiberoptic Evaluation of Swallow Studies (FEES).
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address the complex needs of patients with cranio-facial abnormalities, congenital heart defects, gastrointestinal disorders, tracheostomized patients, and head and neck cancer.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide education and inservices on swallowing and communication disorders.
  • Participate in clinical and research opportunities to advance the field of Speech-Language Pathology.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association (CCC-SLP)
  • Current New York State license and registration in Speech Language Pathology
  • Fluency in Spanish is ideal
