About the Job

The Public Theater is seeking a skilled Handy Person to join our facilities team. This role is responsible for providing general support for our facilities, including conducting basic maintenance tasks, setting up requests, and assisting with repairs and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily facility upkeep tasks, including cleaning, maintenance, and repair of equipment and fixtures.
  • Assist the superintendent team with in-house repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Requirements:

  • Certification in Fire Guard (F-03) is required; S-95 certification and OSHA certification are recommended.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
