Position Overview
  • Join our dynamic team as a Trauma Care Technician in a 17-bed unit, an excellent entry point into the nursing profession. Candidates with basic healthcare experience will find this role rewarding as you will be responsible for monitoring vital signs, performing EKGs, splinting, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), providing patient transport, and serving as a behavioral health sitter. Our leadership is committed to nurturing talent from within, and you will encounter a diverse range of trauma and high-acuity cases.
  • This is a Part-Time Night Shift position (2x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with a rotation every other weekend and holiday. Flexibility is available to accommodate educational commitments.
  • Enjoy competitive shift differentials: $1.50 for evening shifts (3 PM - 11 PM), $2.00 for night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM), and an additional $1.00 for weekend shifts on top of the base pay.

Key Responsibilities
As a Trauma Care Technician, you will provide essential patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Your duties will include greeting and assisting patients and visitors, monitoring activities to foster a welcoming environment, and delivering care tailored to the specific needs of patients based on their age and condition. Responsibilities may also involve collecting blood samples and processing specimens, all while ensuring a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment for patient care.

Qualifications
Education: A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training is required.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of hire. Preferred certifications include EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant), or PCT (Patient Care Technician).

Physical Requirements: The role involves patient care support.
