Forestry Consultant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Forestry Consultant to join our team at Eocene Environmental Group. As a Forestry Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of power to our customers while also promoting sustainable habitat throughout our utility right-of-way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct tree and brush inventories to identify potential hazards and develop plans for pruning and removals
• Inspect and evaluate trees for hazards and develop strategies for mitigation
• Manage data and ensure accurate records of work completed
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices and ensure a safe work environment
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in forestry or related field and/or experience in utility line clearance
• Species identification skills and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth rates
• Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
