Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Hughes Resources. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality stainless steel components and equipment for our customers in the food manufacturing industry.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements for metal fabrication.
• Measure, cut, bend, and shape stainless steel sheets, plates, and pipes using various tools and equipment.
• Assemble and weld metal components to form structures and machinery.
• Install fabricated stainless-steel components and systems in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and modifications on existing stainless-steel equipment and structures.

• Proven experience in stainless steel metal fabrication, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
• Experience with welding (TIG, MIG), cutting, grinding, and other metalworking techniques.
• Strong knowledge of stainless-steel properties and metal fabrication techniques.
• Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

The estimated salary for this position is $25-$35 per hour, based on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, flex spending account, and 401(k) matching.

This is a full-time, first-shift position, Monday-Friday from 7:00am-4:30pm. Our headquarters is located in Freeport, IL, with 11 locations across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
