Job Summary
  • We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery to work closely with our renowned surgeons and healthcare team.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with acute, chronic complaints, and health maintenance concerns related to cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.
  • Perform or request diagnostic studies as indicated upon evaluation of the patient.
  • Order medications under physician supervision, consistent with the nurse practitioner's educational preparation and training.
  • Collect specimens for routine laboratory tests, screening procedures, and therapeutic procedures, including blood and blood products.
  • Initiate arrangements for hospital admissions and discharges and complete appropriate paperwork.
  • Assist the supervising physician in the operating room (OR) as a first or second assistant.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited university.
  • Graduate of a PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.
  • PA - Physician Assistant State Licensure.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support.
  • DEA - Drug Enforcement Administration.
