Overview:
The main objective of this role is to support the daily oversight of the logistics delivery personnel.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the effective management of the logistics operations team.
Track delivery vehicles utilizing MobileCast and/or Roadnet.


Recommend and/or execute performance management actions, which may include selection and hiring, transfers, and terminations, as well as the assignment of tasks or progressive discipline.

Maintain records of driver attendance, sick leave, vacation, etc.

Provide training to drivers on safe driving practices, proper lifting techniques, and company delivery protocols.

Conduct regular ride-alongs with drivers to observe and coach them, ensuring high standards of customer service, achievement of productivity metrics, and adherence to safety protocols.

Oversee payroll functions, including attendance records and paid time off management.

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, which may encompass safety requirements and drug screening.


Supervise or assist in the timely and accurate verification and processing of daily delivery driver invoices, related documentation, returns, and collections.

Engage with customers to resolve discrepancies and foster strong relationships.

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with sales, warehouse, delivery, and customer service teams.

Administer worker's compensation, incentive, and safety programs.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent training and experience.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.

Proficient in PC applications, including MS Office and various software programs, including presentation tools.

Must demonstrate results-oriented professionalism with strong verbal and written communication skills, utilizing diplomacy and discretion, as well as excellent customer service abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently or collaboratively, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Employ sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.

Preferred

Qualifications:
Possession of a valid CDL license.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to remain stationary at times; communicate effectively, and operate a computer and telephone.

Occasional lifting, overhead reaching, and carrying of up to 15 pounds to complete various tasks.

Occasional reaching to perform various office duties.

Occasional standing for brief periods to carry out various responsibilities.

Occasional walking for short distances to fulfill various duties.

Extended periods of sitting at a desk or workstation.

Minimal squatting or bending to execute various tasks.

Occasional stair climbing.

Competencies:
May assist in coordinating the work of junior team members.
