Role Summary
The Internal Medicine Physician will be an integral part of our clinical practice team, collaborating with various staff members to deliver high-quality patient care in alignment with the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. This role involves managing a diverse panel of patients, addressing chronic diseases, and treating acute conditions across the adult lifespan.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute medical issues, chronic conditions, or those seeking preventive health services.
- Conduct thorough examinations, develop diagnostic plans, and order necessary tests. Analyze findings and implement effective treatment strategies.
- Offer reproductive health services, including IUD and Nexplanon procedures, cervical examinations, and prenatal care when applicable.
- Collaborate with specialists for consultations and assist in the management of patient care.
- Prescribe medications and evaluate their effectiveness based on individual patient needs.
- Achieve the Health Center's annual productivity targets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Health Records (EHR) and complete documentation promptly.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend call rotations as scheduled.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
- Valid Massachusetts medical license.
- Completion of an Internal Medicine Residency program.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine (ABMS) within one year of residency completion.
- Compliance with Health Center requirements for vaccinations.
