Job Summary

We are seeking an Optician to join our team at our Buford store. As an Optician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with purchasing decisions, and maintaining the sales floor in the Optical area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide member service by acknowledging the member, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain the sales floor in the Optical area by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, and arranging and organizing merchandise.
  • Receive and stock merchandise in the Optical area, and organize and maintain the area by following company procedures.
  • Operate hardware such as cash registers or related equipment, process member purchases, and assist in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Sell Optical products and services by assisting members with purchasing decisions, measuring, adjusting, and repairing frames and lenses, and completing eyewear/contact lens orders.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in the optical industry, and knowledge of optical products and services.

Working Conditions

The working conditions for this position include working in a fast-paced retail environment, and standing for long periods of time. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 25 pounds, and work in a team environment.
