Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our Nutrition Team in an acute care medical center. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing medical nutrition therapy, including nutrition assessment, diet modification, and education.

The successful candidate will follow all guidelines outlined within the Company Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual. They will also be responsible for complying with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.

Key responsibilities of the position include providing medical nutrition therapy, training and mentoring patient services staff, participating in patient satisfaction programs, and contributing to departmental meetings and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.

Required Skills:

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, in states where required
  • One (1) year of hospital experience, preferred
