Job Summary:
The Security Specialist provides critical support to our patients, visitors, and staff by maintaining a secure environment and responding to incidents in a timely and professional manner. This role requires a high level of situational awareness, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals on our campus.

Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol assigned areas to maintain a visible presence and deter potential security threats
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
• Provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
• Maintain accurate records of incidents and security-related activities
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and secure environment

Requirements:
• 2 years of law enforcement experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's degree in police science or a related field preferred
• Certification by the NC Training and Standards Commission required within 1 year of hire
• Basic law enforcement training within the last 12 months required

Work Schedule:
• Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday: 6pm-6am

Weekend and Call Requirements:
• Every other weekend
