Abbott Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Alameda, CA. As a key member of our Abbott Diabetes Care Division, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance to EMC, radio, and safety standards for our life-changing products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement electrical design and test equipment that meet applicable industry and medical device standards.
- Specify, design, verify, and validate very low-power analog front-end design and battery-powered embedded systems for medical devices.
- Provide expertise in EMC/EMI, radio, and safety regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance to regulatory standards.
- Develop and execute V&V test protocols.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and participate in development teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Mastery of fundamental Electrical Engineering principles.
- Solid knowledge of regulations and industry standards for medical device development.
- Experience in performing complex engineering calculations and relating results to design verification tests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with IEC, IEC, IEC, IEC, EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED), EN, EN, FCC Title 47 Part 15, DO-160.
