Position Overview:
Grove Manor Estates, a distinguished Senior Independent and Assisted Living Community, is currently in search of a dedicated and skilled FULL TIME HEALTH & WELLNESS NURSE.
Shift Details:
This role is primarily for WEEKDAYS - FULL TIME - 8 am – 4:30 pm. We are also open to considering PER DIEM HOURS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Resident Care Director to conduct pre-screening and admission assessments, as well as coordinate service plans.
- Ensure compliance through regular audits of resident care documentation.
- Assist in the monitoring and administration of medications.
- Supervise Memory Care and Resident Care Assistants, ensuring high standards of care.
- Communicate any health concerns or incidents to the appropriate family members.
- Facilitate pharmacy deliveries as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Deliver specialized care to designated residents and conduct audits of care processes.
- Be available for occasional on-call duties.
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience in Assisted Living environments.
- Must possess a valid and current RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and supervise a team.
- Experience in managing teams of caregivers is advantageous.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Flexibility to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Experience working with individuals with dementia, including addressing complex behavioral issues and educating staff and families.
- Certification in Dementia Care is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with residents and their families.
- Strong coaching and counseling abilities to uphold the highest standards of care.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift at least 50 lbs, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
