Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Risk Assessment Expert to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential support to the Security and Installations Directorate (SI) and the Security and Installations Personnel Security Division (SISP) across various systems, including:
- Background Investigation Support Systems
- Fingerprint System
- Financial Disclosure System
- Military Processing System
- Process Robotics SPID System
- Polygraph Support System
Key Responsibilities:
Your contributions will include:
- Drafting comprehensive security documentation for multiple systems, such as test plans, security plans, hardware and software inventories, data flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, policies, and network diagrams.
- Ensuring compliance with remote access protocols as approved by the Customer's CIO and Information Technology Services Directorate (CIO-T).
- Facilitating secure File Transfer Protocol (FTP) connections in accordance with Customer and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines.
- Implementing security measures to safeguard the integrity of information assets and ensure data sensitivity.
- Overseeing the user community's adherence to computing standards set by the Customer.
- Establishing site-to-site VPN tunnels in compliance with Customer and Department of Defense (DoD) requirements.
- Ensuring users protect data in line with Customer and DoD policies and standards.
- Maintaining formal security policies and procedures that align with accreditation standards, utilizing Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Implementing security controls to defend against malicious activities, including intrusion and tampering.
- Providing audit trails to detect unauthorized access attempts and reporting these incidents to the Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
- Conducting regular vulnerability scans and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) System scans, providing results in monthly reports.
Essential Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to successfully complete a polygraph examination.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- A minimum of several years of pertinent work experience.
