Position Overview

Polysomnographic Technologist

Summary:
The role involves the execution, evaluation, and interpretation of Polysomnograms, Multiple Sleep Latency Tests, and Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests.

Type of Opportunity:
Full-Time

Work Schedule:
12 Hour Nights

Qualifications

Requirements:
High School education supplemented by vocational training or practical experience in Clinical Polysomnography. A Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) credential is mandatory. A minimum of 18 months of experience in Clinical Polysomnography is preferred, along with a BLS certification. A valid NM Polysomnography or Respiratory Care license is required.

Education:
Essential: High School Diploma or GED

Credentials:
Essential: Registered Polysomnographic Tech
  • Polysomnographic Technologist - NM License

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties associated with Polysomnographic Technician.
  • Score and analyze sleep studies.
  • Assist in the formulation and modification of Sleep Center policies and procedures.
  • Engage with Sleep Center physicians regarding patient care and testing protocols.
  • Support the training of Polysomnographic Trainees and Technicians, including supervising testing activities.
  • Contribute to Quality Monitoring initiatives.
  • Assist with the patient compliance program, including follow-up communications as necessary.
  • Participate in inservices and meetings as required.
