We are seeking a skilled Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) to join our team in this challenging and rewarding role.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This figure may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.

About the Job

This full-time CWOCN position will play a critical role in providing expert care to patients with complex wound, ostomy, and continence issues. As a member of our multidisciplinary Wound Care Team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that promote healing and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, ongoing reassessment, and discharge planning)
  • Collaborate with the Wound Committee to develop Standards of Practice for managing patients with wounds, ostomy, and incontinence issues
  • Work with educators to educate and train nursing staff on wound assessment, treatments, reporting, and documentation of progress
  • Maintain approved National Specialty Certification and advanced training in this clinical specialty
Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate professional nursing program required
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • CWOCN certification by Wound, Ostomy Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) or pursuit of certification within 1 year
  • Current Texas RN license
  • High level of energy and motivation
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision following probation period
