Position Summary

We are on the lookout for a seasoned and innovative Head of Softlines Product Innovation to spearhead our softlines product development division. This pivotal role will manage the comprehensive development cycle for our softline offerings, which encompass items such as bags, apparel, lunch boxes, and beyond. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in product innovation, exemplary leadership capabilities, and a fervor for quality and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of Team Trove, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the company’s growth strategy by introducing novel and appealing products to the market.
  • Overseeing the product development lifecycle from initial concept through to market launch for all softline products.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, sales, and supply chain, to ensure product alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Managing and mentoring factory partners and/or a team of product developers, providing essential guidance and support to meet project milestones.
  • Conducting thorough market research and trend analysis to inform product development strategies.
  • Supervising the creation of product specifications, prototypes, and samples.
  • Ensuring all products comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and managing the product development budget effectively.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks throughout the product development process.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Qualifications

We are seeking team members who excel in contributing their expertise within a collaborative environment. For this role, we require candidates to possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Development, Fashion Design, Business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in product development, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • A proven history of successfully launching products into the market.
  • A strong understanding of the softlines sector and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience in managing factories and suppliers of softline products directly.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in product development software and tools.
  • Awareness of global market trends and consumer behavior.
