Job Overview:

The Facility Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various areas of the facility. This role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and a willingness to undertake specialized cleaning tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Thoroughly clean floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  2. Collect and dispose of waste materials.
  3. Service and maintain restrooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked.
  4. Polish and clean furniture and fixtures to maintain a professional appearance.
  5. Wash windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
  6. Dust and wipe down furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
  7. Perform minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  8. Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents or other chemicals as needed.
  9. Shampoo carpets and steam-clean as required.
  10. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors to maintain their condition.
  11. Restore interiors affected by fire, smoke, or water damage using specialized equipment.
  12. Clean laboratory equipment, ensuring all items are sanitized and ready for use.
  13. Operate vehicles for cleaning tasks, including vans and industrial trucks.
  14. Adhere to safety procedures when using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
  15. Monitor building security by locking doors and checking for hazards.
  16. Move heavy items and furniture as necessary.
  17. Maintain outdoor areas by mowing lawns and trimming shrubbery.
  18. Report any major repair needs to management.
  19. Order supplies and equipment necessary for cleaning and maintenance.
  20. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: No minimum educational requirements.

Experience: No prior experience required.

Preferred: 1 year of experience in janitorial services.
