Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cell Biology Technologist to join our team at Sakata Seed America. As a key member of our Cell Biology department, you will be responsible for supporting our operations by collaborating closely with the Cell Biology Lead to plan and execute Cell Biology projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily lab operations, including preparing plant tissue culture media and stock solutions, initiating and maintaining plant tissue cultures, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Record and analyze data, and assist in the optimization and implementation of new protocols.
  • Work closely with the Cell Biology Lead to develop detailed project plans and execute them while meeting agreed quality standards, deadlines, and budget.
  • Train and provide technical instructions to lab technicians and temporary staff within the project team.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and internal clients.
Requirements
  • BSc in plant biology, horticulture, plant science, or related field.
  • 3 years of practical lab experience, with plant tissue culture experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in areas such as double haploid production and micropropagation is highly desired.
  • Ability to work in both laboratory and greenhouse settings.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and execution skills.
