Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare workstations by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering necessary tools and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements to ensure accurate fit.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies to meet product specifications.
  • Resolve assembly problems by adjusting dimensions to meet specifications; notify supervisor to obtain additional resources as needed.
  • Maintain equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; and calling for repairs when necessary.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Manage supplies inventory by checking stock levels; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
Requirements
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent in a related field.
  • Knowledge of controls and instrumentation, equipment maintenance, and manufacturing quality.
  • Experience with mechanical inspection tools, tooling, and safety management.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
