We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team at Day & Zimmerman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and installation of various piping systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, assemble, fabricate, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems that transport water, steam, chemicals, and fuel across heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems.
  • Cut, bend, thread, and fabricate pipes to meet project specifications.
  • Design and install pipe hangers to support piping systems effectively.
  • Identify and differentiate between various types of piping, fittings, and couplings.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment using welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading techniques.
  • Prepare connections and install piping, mechanical fittings, supports, hangers, anchor bolts, couplings, valves, pumps, and other associated equipment.
  • Remove and replace worn components as necessary to ensure system integrity.
  • Utilize necessary tools, including saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, benders, and machining equipment.
  • Interpret and understand drawings, design specifications, procedures, and codes to execute tasks accurately.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Pipefitter Helper.
  • Ability to pass a nuclear background check and drug screening.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
