Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist I to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy and radiography, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients, adjust equipment, and secure them for procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Determine appropriate radiographic techniques and positions for patients to obtain high-quality images.
  • Operate fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment, including portable units, to perform procedures in various settings.
  • Assist radiologists with fluoroscopic procedures, including advanced and specialty procedures.
  • Participate in quality control activities, including checking film quality and ensuring accurate image labeling.
  • Provide instruction and orientation to students from the College of Lake County.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • 1 year of experience as a General Radiographer.
  • Competent in performing complex c-arm cases and fluoroscopy procedures.
  • IEMA accreditation in medical radiation technology.
  • ARRT registration.
  • CPR certification.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with established time constraints. You may be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases. You must be able to lift and/or move patients, and work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
