As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care. We're looking for a dedicated professional like you to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.
Requirements
- Neonate Resuscitate certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, or BCLS Instructor certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or PALS Instructor certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor certification within 60 months of employment start date.
