Job Summary

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in Oklahoma. As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse or neglect, providing services to help families overcome barriers, and working to preserve and strengthen protective capacities of parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate allegations of child abuse or neglect
  • Provide services to help families overcome barriers
  • Preserve and strengthen protective capacities of parents
  • Work with families to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive services

Requirements:

  • Completion of 90 hours from an accredited college or university
  • 3 years of experience related to child welfare work
  • A combination of education and experience
