At Penn Highlands Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our team. As a Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in coordinating all phases of nutrition care, including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education, and counseling of hospitalized patients and long-term care facility and outpatients in various settings.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate nutrition care for patients in acute care, long-term care, and outpatient settings
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
- Conduct nutrition assessments and monitor patient progress
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Four-year Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable major
- Successful completion of a coordinated program or dietetic internship of not less than 900 hours under the supervision of a registered dietitian
- Registered Dietitian (RD) by The Commission on Dietetic Registration (candidates eligible for registration may be considered with the understanding that registration will be achieved within 60 days of hire)
- Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) by the PA Board of Dietetics and Nutrition
