Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a key member of our integrated team, providing community presence and physical, emotional, relational, and care for our residents. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on care to residents, developing close relationships with them and their families.
  • Lead by example for our unlicensed caregivers and volunteers, promoting exceptional customer service and utilizing courtesy, dignity, and respect.
  • Assist in designing and fulfilling care based on individual resident assessments.
  • Lead teams of Certified Nursing Assistants in the provision of excellent care.
  • Engage in medication administration and performance of treatments.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing by the state in which the community is located.
  • Experience with general nursing and elder care.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the Home Care Bill of Rights as it applies to the LPN.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and performance of treatments.
  • Possess compassion for and commitment to hospitality, service, and excellence in elderly care.
  • Ability to teach policies/procedures under appropriate direction.
  • Ability to function as a primary caregiver and perform duties of unlicensed team members.
  • Ability to maintain information as confidential and private.
  • Ability to remain calm, kind, and patient during difficult circumstances and emergencies.
  • Ability to set appropriate boundaries in working with residents and their families while simultaneously being approachable and empathetic.
