Position: Manufacturing Technician

Duration: 6+ Months (possible extension)

Location: Devens, MA

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7AM - 5PM EST OR Tuesday - Friday 7AM - 5PM EST

Compensation: $25-28/hr

Overview:

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for executing commercial production processes in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) for the production of therapeutic proteins utilized in innovative medical treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate production machinery within a designated area while adhering to cGMP and standard operating procedures.
  • Revise and develop process documentation and assist in investigations related to processes.
  • Achieve proficiency in process automation and relevant business systems, as well as in the operation of primary production equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance of material and component inventory levels, including weighing and verifying raw materials.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment and engage in area-specific safety initiatives.
  • Handle raw materials, including weighing, checking, assembling, cleaning, and autoclaving process components, while assisting in inventory management.
  • Perform routine manufacturing tasks according to established procedures that are moderately complex, with minimal guidance. Assist in the revision and creation of process documents, such as SOPs and Batch Records, and support process-related investigations.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma is mandatory.
  • Knowledge in scientific principles typically acquired through a certificate program or an Associate's Degree in Biotechnology or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in collaborative work environments where accountability, attention to detail, teamwork, and results are emphasized.
  • Proficiency in common computer applications and web-based tools is essential.
  • Prior experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations and/or experience in a cleanroom or highly regulated setting is advantageous.

This position involves handling hazardous materials; required personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn.
