Medical Billing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our medical billing processes.
**Responsibilities:**
- Cross-train in coding and billing for medical, behavioral health, dental, and substance use disorder services.
- Perform data entry, claims billing, and posting of payments utilizing NextGen practice management system and clearinghouse.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding HIPAA and confidentiality.
**Requirements:**
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Billing/Coding Certification (AAPC) or other certification.
- 3-5 years' work experience in a medical office environment.
Estimated salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year.
