About the Brain Health Unit
The Brain Health Unit at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital is a specialized unit that provides care to older patients with neurocognitive disorders and medical co-morbidities. As a Charge Nurse II, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to engage, support, and treat patients, with a focus on maximizing quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, age-appropriate patient care and function as an advisor, resource, and leader for other members of the patient care team.
- Mentor and role model best practices, policies, and procedures to staff.
- Assist in developing and implementing patient teaching plans and identify unit-based educational opportunities.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to maintain patient throughput and align with best practices surrounding admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Hold staff accountable for achieving job responsibilities, unit objectives, and divisional standards.
Requirements
- BLS certification
- Maryland Registered Nurse License
- ACLS certification for application to telemetry
