Position Summary

The rehabilitation technician operates under the guidance of the technician supervisor and the management team at the facility. The primary focus of this role is to assist the staff in delivering outstanding customer service and care, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain effective communication with therapy patients, therapists, and medical staff in a dynamic orthopedic rehabilitation setting.
  2. Ensure daily clinic upkeep, which includes cleaning treatment tables and equipment, changing linens, and restocking supplies.
  3. Organize exercise equipment to ensure safety and accessibility for patients.
  4. Conduct regular maintenance checks to comply with IBJI standards.
  5. Support therapists by assisting with the implementation of exercise programs for patients, including equipment setup and modality application.
  6. Relay observations to therapists regarding patient progress during exercise sessions.
  7. Assist clinicians in patient care initiatives proactively.
  8. Prepare home exercise programs for patients as directed by the clinician.
  9. Manage inventory for both clinical and non-clinical supplies.
  10. For clinics utilizing technicians for front desk duties, adhere to best practices for clerical tasks, including patient check-ins, appointment scheduling, and payment processing.
  11. Provide ongoing support to the rehabilitation staff and management team.
  12. Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
  13. Work effectively with patients of all backgrounds and diagnoses.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor within the clinic.
  15. Exhibit punctuality and flexibility in adherence to established work hours.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Availability for morning or evening shifts, either part-time or full-time.
Physical Requirements
  1. Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive under pressure.
  2. Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
  3. Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  4. Proficient in Windows, MS Office, and email applications.
