Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Technician to join our team at Tharon Group. As a Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, working closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Provide support to nursing staff in administering medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Vital Sign Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records to inform care decisions.
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity while ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive personalized and high-quality care, responding promptly to medical emergencies and following established protocols.
  • Medication Management: Ensure all resident medication orders are current and correct, including dosage, changes in dosage, and temporary or permanent discontinuation.
  • Medication Security: Ensure that all centrally stored medication is inaccessible to residents or staff who are not authorized to handle medication.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe residents for any reactions and/or side effects of medication and report to the resident physician, documenting any changes in the resident's health condition or mental status.
  • Daily Care Documentation: Assist residents with activities of daily need, including bathing, dressing, grooming, dental care, and incontinence care as needed, documenting daily care.
Requirements
  • Certification: Certified Medical Technician or relevant certification.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an assisted living or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Approach to Care: Compassionate and patient-centered approach to resident care.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients if required.
