Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team at Fayetteville's Hometown Utility. As a key member of our Water Resources Engineering Department, you will be responsible for performing routine engineering assignments, reviewing and analyzing designs, and ensuring compliance with established design standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze sketches, drawings, and plans to ensure compliance with established design standards
  • Perform field work, including taking measurements and adjusting/correlating data
  • Compile and analyze data to identify discrepancies and make recommendations
  • Meet with clients, customers, and contractors to discuss proposed utility services
  • Serve as a liaison between the engineering and construction units
  • Operate vehicles and equipment as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer Intern (EI) certification preferred
  • Ability to learn system analysis and perform accurate complex mathematical computations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and customers.
