Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring timely and compliant default servicing activities for Retail and Lease Portfolios.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with vendors to maintain legal letter databases and report changes to Compliance and other departments.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of default services letters, with immediate reporting of deviations to management.
  • Contribute to automating processes with Risk Management, Compliance, and Digital teams.
  • Support the Specialized Services team and prioritize customer satisfaction while adhering to applicable laws.
  • Audit and monitor vendors, providing dashboard reporting to management.
  • Update Default Services Process/Procedures and Maps in response to law and/or regulation changes.
  • Address inquiries from the Compliance Department on CFPB, state, and local audit requests.
  • Resolve complex default-related issues through collaboration with internal departments.
  • Maintain detailed records of communications and actions taken on each loan file.
  • Develop strategies, workflow processes, and process management for Default Services Process Improvement.
  • Implement reporting mechanisms to inform management of performance levels, developing trends, and workloads.
  • Participate in meetings to establish long-term and short-term departmental objectives and goals.
  • Stay current on internal and external laws and regulations, including federal and state requirements.
  • Handle cross-channel business deliverables as assigned.
  • Assist in developing and implementing best practices for the department.
  • Provide reports on internal and external metrics as requested.
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and ensure timely payments.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-year related experience with involvement in two or more areas: Legal, Recovery, Repossession, Remarketing, Bankruptcy, Primary BCPI insurance policies, Total Loss insurance, Loan Documents, or Gap Waivers.
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access.
  • Ability to work in a flexible team environment.
  • Capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility in scheduled time to complete assignments.
  • Creative thinking in discovering solutions and redefining processes.
  • Embraces change and challenges status quo.
  • Overtime may be required on an as-needed basis.
  • Reliable transportation and living within a commutable distance to Atlanta, GA are necessary.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs, typically between 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required approximately 10% of the time.
